The second destination on our (my) itinerary was Chawton- the site of the home where Jane Austen lived for eight years of her life and revised most of her novels. She lived here with her mother and her sister, Cassandra. The home was given to them by one of their brothers who owned the estate and Chawton House. It was a beautiful day and I was giddy with excitement!
