Mom and I arrived in Heathrow at about 10:30pm on Friday, April 17th. Since I was driving the rental, it was actually the perfect time to arrive. It allowed me to navigate the streets and all their turnabouts with very little traffic. We survived the hour-long drive to our hotel in Newbury and then crashed for the night. Here are some pics of our accommodations. We chose Newbury because it was an ideal location from which to explore Jane Austen country.
